This is a true example of a dry-grown Barossa Valley Shiraz. The 2017 Klauber Block matured for 18 months in American Oak hogshead barrels.

Barossa’s 2017 Reds have been described by one winemaker as having “incredible length of flavour, full-bodied, yet fine. Not a boisterous year – rather one with exceptional elegance and poise”. 

This luxurious Shiraz is made exclusively from our 70 year old Klauber Block vineyard. It's bold with a rich cherry and black olive nose, and masses of coffee and raisins and spicy cinnamon on the palate. Intricate and layered, this wine shows wonderful fine tannins and excellent balance.

Once voted the 6th best wine in the world by wine writer Oz Clarke in the UK. It is a wine that has the structure that allows it to be cellared or enjoyed now.
