2022 The Suit Cabernet Sauvignon

The Suit is a magnificent, powerful Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon which boasts true varietal character and herbaceousness; it stands tall and strong with an exceptionally complex and long finish. 

This wine will live a long and lasting life. Matured in fine French oak barrels with a cellar life of 15 years. 

Hailing from our 60 year old Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard, this wine stands tall and strong with exceptional character.

VINTAGE 2022:

The 2022 vintage in the Barossa Valley was marked by favourable weather conditions. The growing season began with a wet spring, providing ample soil moisture, which was beneficial for vine health and development. This was followed by a mild summer with cooler temperatures, allowing grapes to ripen slowly and evenly. These conditions contributed to an extended growing season, which is ideal for the development of complex flavours and balanced acidity in the grapes.

Harvesting commenced slightly later than usual, allowing winemakers to pick the grapes at their optimal ripeness. The Cabernet Sauvignon berries were smaller but packed with intense flavours and excellent colour concentration. The 2022 vintage in the Barossa Valley has been particularly notable for its Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, with both varieties showing exceptional quality. 

Grown in sub plain heavy soil.

A cellar life of up to the year 2032, this wine will age gracefully. Along with the Dedication Shiraz, The Suit is the second half of our flagship range and is laden with an abundance of berries and plum.
