2023 Deer Stalker Merlot

OUR MOST POPULAR WINE EVER PRODUCED! The Deer Stalker Merlot is a unique style in the Barossa; unoaked and fruity, this Merlot can be chilled to taste.

Low in tannin and easy to drink, this juggernaut of a wine is 40% allocated to our wine club on release and for most vintages it is sold out for half of the year.

If you like it, get in quick or join the club to secure your yearly allocation.The Deer Stalker Merlot is a unique style in the Barossa. It is fermented in stainless steel and produces little tannin which leaves it light and fruity.

TASTING NOTES:
Appearance: vibrant deep red with a magenta hue
Aroma: lifted red fruits, mint leaf and spice, strawberry, raspberry and cherry with floral notes
Palate: Confectionery raspberry notes with strawberry plus dried herb notes. Medium body with a clean round finish.

I’ m your ordinary everyday drinker of red wine and found this wine absolutely delicous! Ordered a bottle at a bar and will definitely go back there just to drink this wine again.

Have just enjoyed a bottle of deer stalker. I would have liked to share with a friend but will have to wait to share when the viris problem cools down

After just finishing our second bottle of Deer Stalker 2019 Merlot was sad to see that it is sold out in the 2020 as would like to order more. In love with this drop. Please advise when we can order some more please. Thank you for producing such a lovely wine.

This is my favourite wine – tried it first on a trip to SA in 2019 and have been purchasing regularly ever since. The Kies Family are wonderful champions for their Brand and the local wine making industry. Do yourself a favour and taste this wine. Every vintage seems just as good as teh last.

OMG!! This 2019 Merlot is now officially my favourite drop – which is absolutely bizarre given I live in sub-tropical Queensland, Australia!! Tasted it at my son’s place during family games night – immediately ordered a case online, and have now just ordered my SECOND case for delivery . Well Done Kies family – this is a pearler!

Called into this lovely family run winery and restaurant whilst on a tour through the Barrossa. Loved testing the Deer Stalker Merlot and the attention and the food during our dining experience.

Hello there. Your Deer Stalker is our very best favourite and is an absolute delight to drink and enjoy with a great cheese platter and crackers. We love it. Mind you Pat quite enjoys your white wines also.
