Ruby (formerly Bastardo) 5L
A beautiful ruby style fortified wine made mainly from the rare Portuguese grape variety “Bastardo”. This fortified is deep with red cherry and cooked strawberry, with high alcohol and high, sour candy acidity. Aged for only 2 years in oak. This fortified will add a whole new dimension to a port barrel. Available to order in 2 litre containers. 18.5% alc/vol.

The Ruby Port is excellent. We used a 50/50 mix of Ruby and Tawny Port in our Port barrel. It's delicious

So he's the thing !! while I am aging my 10 ltr barrell ( oridginally fiied with Kies ruby & tauny 50/50 with 10% Kies Muscat ,,average age now around5,6,7 yrs ,, the next best thing to that , is Kies Ruby 60% Tauny 40% Best Port I have ever discovered !! ( I'm 82 so i'v tryed a few in my time !!)xtu
