NEW RELEASE - 2021 VINTAGE

In 2021, the Barossa Valley produced an exceptional vintage of wines characterised by rich flavours and exceptional quality. The region experienced favourable weather conditions, with a mild growing season followed by a warm and dry harvest period, allowing grapes to ripen fully and develop concentrated flavours.

The red wines from the Barossa Valley, such as this Premium iteration of the Shiraz grape variety, showcase bold fruit characteristics, deep colour, and a lush, velvety texture. These wines exhibit notes of ripe berries, dark plums, and hints of spice, with well-integrated tannins providing structure and balance.

Overall, the 2021 vintage from the Barossa Valley delivered wines of exceptional quality and character, reflecting the region's esteemed winemaking traditions and terroir. We are proud to share with you the 2021 Dedication Shiraz which is an exceptional example of an excellent vintage.

This Shiraz stands proud and tall as the flagship of our red range. From our 90 year old vineyard, this old world Shiraz is dedicated to Ken Kies who sadly passed away in 1996.

This wine is a representation of all of Ken’s hard work. He was the first of the Kies family to start producing wine in 1969. Prior to that, the family were vignerons.

It’s a rich old Barossa Shiraz with mulberry, black cherry, leather and finished with light oak overtones.

A big wine with long flavours and rewarding characteristics, full of plumy fruit balanced by abundant soft tannins.

This wine has long been held in high esteem with James Halliday and received a GOLD MEDAL at the China Wine and Spirit Awards. 14.5% alc/vol.
