The Guardian Angel Shiraz

"When I was a young boy, grandpa Ken Kies used to sneak me a sip of his Shiraz, take me on tours of the vineyard and buy me basketball cards, telling me not to tell my siblings.

We had such a special bond and although grandpa passed when I was ten, there hasn’t been a day that he has not been on my mind.

So I made this wine in his honour.

The fruit is sourced from the most sought after vineyard on our estate. After a long cool ferment, I put this wine into 100% new American oak from A.P Johns Shenandoah for 24 months and topped it every 4 weeks. I have looked after the wine like it’s my child and I am unsure if I can make a wine that tastes this good ever again.

There are only 650 bottles produced, each individually numbered. It's a special occasion wine, so your bottle should be unique.

If you’re lucky enough to drink it with your family, close friends, or mentor, enjoy! But this wine is best suited to honouring someone special in your life that is looking down on you from above."

 CHOOSING A NUMBER: Each bottle is numbered 1-650. If you would like input into which number you are allocated please follow the below instructions when ordering:

• On the checkout page, tick "Add a gift message or special instructions". 
• Scroll down to "Order Notes / Special Instructions" and input 5 preferred numbers between 100 and 650 (all numbers between 1 and 100 are now taken). 
• We will try our best to allocate one of your preferred numbers and will call if we aren't able to do so. 
• If we don't receive any information on the order notes we will allocate a number for you.
